Brian Bayford (1961-2025) and his wife, Dorothy—who preceded him in death—built Water Pro from the ground up in 2000, starting in their bedroom with a vision rooted in service, integrity, and community care. Brian’s journey in water treatment began long before that, following in the footsteps of his father, Donald Bayford, and gaining deep experience in both residential and commercial systems. But it was Water Pro that became his true legacy: a company defined not just by technical excellence, but by a genuine desire to help people.
Brian believed that solving water problems was more than a business—it was a calling. His philosophy was simple: the customer was always right, and profit was never the main concern. After each appointment, his only question was whether Water Pro had truly helped the customer. That spirit shaped every part of the company, from its customized solutions to its unwavering commitment to honesty and professionalism.
Beyond his technical expertise, Brian was known for his generosity, warmth, and joy. He loved life and found happiness in its simple pleasures. He was deeply committed to family and had an extraordinary gift for making strangers feel like friends. Whether quietly helping someone in need or supporting local charities, Brian lived his values every day. His involvement with the Water Quality Association and Eastern Water Quality Association reflected his dedication to ethics and education in the industry, and his presentations often centered on integrity as the foundation of good business.
Current owner and longtime friend Steve Gingues shared, “I never met a person more willing to help a stranger than Brian. It was impossible to spend time with him and not want to emulate his strong desire to love everyone he met.” Steve continues to lead Water Pro with the same heart and purpose, honoring Brian’s legacy by making sure the customer is taken care of and giving back to the community.
