When will I be able to drink the water from my new system? Depending on the type of system installed, it could vary from a few minutes to a few hours.
How long will it take to install my new system and will I need to be there for the installation? Installations are usually scheduled within 1 - 2 weeks and you are not required to be present at installation.
What type of maintenance is required?
Depending on the type of system you have, we recommend regular and/or yearly upkeep of your system. But don't worry, we’ll explain everything you need to know at the no charge follow up visit.
Regular Maintenance for salt consuming units: We offer a no-contract service plan that will provide regular maintenance for any brand of equipment. Our technicians will bring and add salt, bring and change filters (if applicable), and are always on the lookout to identify or prevent additional problems. We offer this worry and hassle free maintenance service plan customized to meet your household's needs. It can be set up on auto-pilot and it's one less thing you have to remember! When you purchase the unit from us, some regular maintenance plans qualify your system for an extended parts warranty (based on type of plan, system, and water quality).
Yearly Maintenance: If you prefer to do your own salt and filter changes or that's not applicable to your system, we also offer and recommend Total Check yearly maintenance visits. The technician will perform a thorough check of your system, including confirming proper regeneration (cleaning itself - salt consuming units), checking and cleaning some of the internal components, and testing the water upon request. When you purchase the unit from us, some regular maintenance plans qualify for free yearly maintenance, as long as regular maintenance is done consistently.

What is the difference between water softening equipment and a reverse osmosis system?
Water softening equipment has the ability to solve different problems depending upon the water quality and what's best for the homeowner. Well Water Softener: removal of hardness and limited iron to all faucets within your home, City Water Softener: removal of chlorine and hardness to all faucets within your home. Additional units may be recommended dependent upon the customer's water quality. Iron Removal: removal of rust staining and iron bacteria, Smell: removal of rotten egg smell caused by sulfur reducing bacteria, metallic smell, or chlorine/disinfection byproducts, Acid Neutralizers: raise the pH of the water, Tannin Removal: tannins are a harmless but nuisance organic that usually appear in the form of a yellow, blue, or green tint, or a coloring in the water
Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems can be either point of use or whole house. RO-Point of use: Standard Reverse Osmosis is a water purification system that provides you and your family with only the freshest of H2O. An RO results in healthier and better tasting water at a fraction of the cost of bottled! The system is typically connected under your kitchen sink and a faucet is installed to dispense your freshly filtered water whenever you need it. In most cases, it can even be connected to your refrigerator for great tasting ice! Whole House Reverse Osmosis is a water purification system that provides you and your family with only the freshest of H2O within your whole house. The system is typically connected inside your home where outside pipes come into your home and is available from all faucets within your home. An RO whole house system ensures that your family is always using the best water for drinking, cooking bathing, brushing their teeth, laundry, etc. at every faucet.
