WATER TESTING FAQ
What tests should be ordered?
You will need to confirm with loan underwriter/mortgage company what tests they are requiring for the loan. We can not advise you on what tests to order.
Why Choose Water Pro?
Choosing Water Pro to test the water of the homes you represent provides you with a release of liability from conflict of interest. Our water testing services are also convenient and Water Pro is committed to providing realtors with exceptional service.
WhY DO YOU INCLUDE a CHLORination?
In order to provide a more efficient and valuable bacteria test service to our realtors and homeowners, every test automatically includes a chlorination. This means we will provide a chlorination of the well, line, or sample point as the configuration allows. This allows us to ensure we collect a clean sample. If the bacteria test fails, we will provide the second bacteria test at no additional charge.
How long will it take to get the results? DO I NEED TO ORDER A RUSH?
Our standard turn-around time for results is approximately 5 business days from the day we collect the sample. Many mortgage companies won’t accept results older than 30 days, so unless you request otherwise (you may do so in the Closing Date field), we will wait until about 2 weeks before your closing date to perform the test.
If you require a Rush, additional charges may apply. Please select the Rush option on the Test Request Form and contact our office after you’ve submitted this form.

DO I NEEd to be PRESENT?
We do not need anyone present to collect the sample as long as we have unrestricted access (no dogs, locked gates, etc.) to an outside faucet with running water (power and pump on). If there are special (access) circumstances such as a contractor lockbox and/or if sample needs to be taken from a specified faucet as required by the lender, please provide information in the Lockbox code or Additional Instructions/Information fields and we may contact you if needed.
DOES THE POWER HAVE TO BE ON?
Power to the well pump and running water is required in order for us to be able to collect the sample.
Which areas are covered by Water Pro?
Our local service areas are Gloucester, Mathews, and Middlesex. We provide tests for a much wider area, but mileage charges apply. For mileage rates, please contact Petra at 804-693-7294 or Petra@WaterProInc.com.
When is Payment due?
If testing is needed for a foreclosure, bank owned property, or refinance, payment is due before the work is performed. Please contact our office after submitting the form to make payment. If it is a standard real estate transaction and payment is coming out of closing, please make sure to provide disbursing attorney's information and the Invoice will be sent to them.
